For AI assistants

Add Square Plumb to your AI assistant, then describe the building you want. The assistant sends the description here, the engine frames it, and you get the cut list, the fastener schedule, and a link that opens the building in the app.

What it does

Say "a 10 by 12 shed with a door on the east wall and two windows," and your assistant hands that to the same engine that runs this site. Back comes the framed building: every board counted and priced, the cut list, the fastener schedule, the hardware, and a link that opens it in the app. There you can drag a wall, move a window, and print the paper.

What it knows

The tools explain themselves to the assistant: which walls exist and how they are numbered, which doors and windows are on offer and where they can go, the roof shapes, and the size limits. The conversation is about your building, not about the software.

Which assistants

Any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol over HTTP: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and a growing list of others. The protocol is open, and Square Plumb isn't tied to any of them.

What it isn't

The same thing the site isn't: it gives a framing estimate made by software, not an engineered or stamped plan. Local limits are often stricter than the code's. Check with your building department, and have a structural engineer look at anything you mean to build.

Add it

The endpoint is https://app.squareplumb.net/v1/mcp. Wherever your assistant takes an MCP server or a custom connector, paste that address; no key is needed. Two examples, in Claude Code and in a generic MCP client configuration:

claude mcp add --transport http square-plumb https://app.squareplumb.net/v1/mcp
{ "mcpServers": { "square-plumb": { "url": "https://app.squareplumb.net/v1/mcp" } } }

Then ask for a building. The tools carry their own manual, so the assistant knows the walls, the openings and the limits without you telling it.
